Your Role: Assistant Engineer
We are looking for an Assistant Engineer who is a "Real Professional". 🏆 You will be the right hand of our engineering and operations team, providing technical and administrative support on our projects. Your role is fundamental for projects to move forward, ensuring that each project is executed with the technical excellence and efficiency that defines us.

Your Core Responsibilities: Pushing Toward Excellence
  • Technical Support in the Field: Assist in the reading and interpretation of drawings and technical documents, ensuring that the execution aligns with the design.
  • Supervision and Quality: Follow up on daily tasks on the construction site, ensuring that every detail meets our high standards.
  • Document Management: Organize, update, and control critical project documentation, including daily reports, permits, schedules, and RFIs.
  • Coordination of Resources: Support in the management and monitoring of the inventory of materials and the logistics of the project, ensuring the efficient use of resources.
  • Commitment to Safety: To be a fundamental piece in the implementation of our safety program, actively promoting a work environment where taking care of what is ours is the priority.
  • Effective Communication: Serve as a liaison between the field team, management, customers and suppliers, maintaining clear and professional communication.
  • Assist in the preparation of estimates and cost analysis.
What We Look for in You: An "Always Pa'lante" 🏃 Professional
  • Academic Background: Bachelor's degree or technical degree in Civil Engineering, Construction or a related field (desirable).
  • Technical Skills: Ability to read and interpret construction plans.
  • Experience: Previous experience in the construction industry is a plus.
  • Digital Tools: Basic knowledge of Google Workspace and the willingness to learn how to use new management tools.
  • Proactive Attitude: Demonstrate a desire to "Throw the Rest", 💪 with a high sense of responsibility, organization and attention to detail.
  • Communication: Good oral and written communication skills, both in Spanish and English (intermediate level desirable).
  • Logistics: Own vehicle in good condition and availability to travel to the projects through Puerto Rico.

Compensation: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour

Transportation

Our compensation policies for travel time and mileage will apply according to the role.

In summary:

  • If assigned to reach a project or location one hour or more away from your place of residence, a stipend applies for each day worked at that location.
  • Trips during working hours in your vehicle to attend company matters can be submitted for mileage reimbursement.
  • In case you are assigned to work at a location more than 40 miles from your town of residence, additional compensation will apply to travel time.
  • A weekly transportation stipend may apply instead of the above at the Company's discretion.

 

Bonuses:

There may be productivity bonuses, or incentives to be agreed upon on a case-by-case basis.

 

Salary Advances

  • Once you have been working for 2 weeks, you can request salary advances. 
  • The advance will be deducted in reasonable and agreed-upon installments.
